At What age did you have the sex talk with your kids and how much info did you give them?

I have three kids, 2 sons ages 6 1/2 & 9 1/2 and a girl 8 years old. I want to teach them about sex and their bodies in a healthy way. But, I don't want to embarrass myself or them by sharing more info than they need or confuse them by sharing to little. We have had the good touch bad touch talk since they were small...They have'nt asked anything about sex. But, I know that they are hearing things at school because of things I have overheard them say, and I need to let them know that they can talk to me. We have a very open relationship now, and they will come to me about things and I want to be sure that this continues as they grow up. After one of their overheard questions I asked my oldest son, what sex was and he told me he didn't have it all figured out yet, but that he knew it had something to do with two naked people in bed mooning eachother. Should I leave it at that, until another comment comes up, or should I initiate a talk. And how much do I share with them?
